Pre purchase exams are at the buyers expense. It is your job as the buyer to find the vet of your choice. There are MANY great vets in our area that we do not use so there is no conflict of interest. Once you get the horse home your after the fact vet check means nothing. If you are doing a vet check it must be done prior to the horse leaving our facility. All vets go to vet school so they’re all highly accredited for the most part. If you live out of state ask your normal vet who they recommend in this area. If you need assistance finding a vet I can also help you. Some of our horses do sell with a PPE already done.
Buyers are more than welcome to come to our farm to see the horse and try the horse. You are welcome to bring your trainer. We have an indoor arena, outdoor arena and 31 open acres to ride. If you can’t see what the horse can do on this property then you won’t be able to do it anywhere. We sell many horses sight unseen but that is the decision of the buyer and we never tell people not to come. Please do not come if you have no intention of buying a horse because that is a waste of everyone’s time.
All horses will leave here with a valid coggins and you as a buyer are responsible to pay for a valid health certificate to legally cross state lines.
With the market the way it is we highly recommend a deposit but we will never push a interested party to place a deposit on a horse. If you do place a deposit on a horse than we do hold the horse for you for 5 days. If there is no deposit placed the horse is for sale to ANYONE. A horse is ONLY held on deposits. Deposits are 10% of the selling price and they are NON-REFUNDABLE, no exceptions.
Vet checks can ONLY be done if the horse is held under a 10% deposit. A PPE takes up most of our day and we have to be here with the vet the whole time and always seem to have to help and or ride. The vet is getting paid regardless and our time is also valueable. A PPE must be done within 5 days time. If a PPE is performed the balance is due on completion of that PPE and within the 5 day deposit window.
Once the horse is sold we will charge a boarding fee of $50.00 a day. Which includes full care. This is not applicable to horses under deposit only for the 5 day period.
If we are aware of any health issues or concerns, they will be mentioned prior to purchase. We buy and sell horses. Some horses we have for days, some a week, some for a month and some for months. I’ll happily tell you how long we have had a horse in our possession. We try to keep every horse a minimum of 30 days to put them through our evaluation process so we can evaluate training, suitability and soundness. We strive to offer high quality beginner safe geldings and thats what we are known for.
All sales are FINAL unless otherwise stated. There are NO money back guarantees under any circumstance.
Every horse we sell has updated pictures and videos. We do not sell any horses off of old pictures and videos. None of our pictures or videos are edited so look at them closely to see exactly what you’re buying especially if you are not coming to see the horse in person.
I will happily speak to any trainer in person, over the phone, by text, Facebook etc but do that before your client buys the horse or while your client is purchasing the horse. Trainers are there to help and guide the client before, during and after the purchase.
We only offer transportation locally for a fee. I have a long list of great licensed and insured transporters that I will happily give any buyer the names and numbers to. Here and there depending on our schedule we will transport locally within state or just over the line in PA. If you need to hire a hauler, it is responsibly as the buyer to communicate and meet transporter at drop off. Every horse leaves here with a signed bill of sale by both seller and buyer. Horses are not to leave the property without a signed bill of sale.
